Movement Support for Young People: In Classrooms and At Home

Practical, intelligent movement tools to help young people reduce aches, build confidence, and feel at home in their bodies - whether they’re sitting exams, playing sport, or navigating daily challenges. We offer both desk-based movement workshops in secondary schools and 1:1 sessions for young people with movement challenges.

Helping Young People Feel Regulated, Focused, and at Home in Their Bodies

Sitting for hours in classrooms can make movement feel like something separate - saved for break times or sports. Our approach integrates simple, inclusive movement into everyday routines, so students improve posture, reduce stress, and build confidence, even if they don’t see themselves as “sporty.”

We offer two ways to support young people:

  • School Programmes: in-class sessions tailored for groups

  • 1:1 Support: personalised movement sessions at home

What Makes This Different: Movement Support Tailored for Young People

Most wellbeing offers for young people focus either on sport or one-off activities. Our approach is different. It’s about giving every young person practical, accessible tools they can use every day to feel more comfortable and confident in their bodies.

Through both school workshops and 1:1 sessions at home, we make movement inclusive for all — not just the “sporty” or confident movers. It’s practical, rooted in real-life needs like sitting at desks, managing stress, or recovering from injuries. It’s supportive, tailored to a whole class or personalised for an individual. And above all, it’s lasting, equipping young people with tools and habits they can carry into adulthood. Here are our areas of focus:

Desk & Study Movement

Simple tools to ease tension, improve alignment, manage stress and boost focus during long hours at desks or on devices.

Injury Recovery

Gentle, guided movement to support rehabilitation and restore trust in the body and safety in movement.

Posture, Gait & Awareness Coaching

Improving alignment, walking patterns, and balance while building body awareness.

Spinal Health & Scoliosis Support

Tailored movement strategies for scoliosis and other spinal conditions, with a focus on both strength, flexibility and confidence.

Move At Your School Desk

Move At Your School Desk integrates movement and awareness into everyday classroom life, with a focus on posture support and nervous system care.

We offer flexible ways to bring the programme into your school:

  • Workshops: interactive sessions that bring students and teachers together for practical, inclusive movement.

  • Support videos: short, classroom-ready exercises that reinforce learning and help build lasting habits.

  • Audit & observation: a tailored review of classroom setups and habits, helping us identify gaps and shape a programme that delivers real impact.

“My daughter absolutely loves her sessions with Kerrie-Anne and always feels the benefit afterwards. The exercises are engaging and carefully tailored to her needs each day, which often change.”

“Kerrie-Anne notices imbalances and tensions with incredible detail and gently corrects them before they become worse. She is caring, positive and engages so well with young people, so my daughter really enjoys their time together. The sessions are both fun and effective, and Kerrie-Anne always brings a bright, uplifting mindset to the sessions.”

MARIE

“After the session with Kerrie-Anne Jack said “that was a workout.” He went in with a pelvis issue and in the hour learnt to move his body through specific exercises that corrected the misalignment.”

KATE

Why I Do This Work

I know first-hand what it’s like to grow up with constant pain, scoliosis and crippling anxiety. Looking back, I wish I’d had the movement tools to help me through it. At school, so many of the ways we sit and hold ourselves become habits that stay with us into adulthood - but it doesn’t have to be this way.

That’s why my work with young people focuses on giving them the tools I never had: ways to move, sit, and breathe that reduce pain, ease stress, and build confidence. Movement isn’t about correction - it’s about understanding your body and how it’s connection with the mind, learning how to move safely and in a balanced way, and empowerment.
