A bit about me

I've been a Pilates teacher and posture specialist for over a decade. Before that, I spent years sitting at a desk myself, which is probably why I'm so good at understanding exactly what it does to a body.

I'm the author of Move More At Your Desk and I've developed and delivered workplace movement programmes for organisations including the NHS, Google, WWF, Ocado, Jimmy Choo, the Bank of England, Bird and Bird, and HSBC. And I've been pioneering desk-based movement for long enough to have watched it go from a niche obsession to something every HR director is now trying to figure out.

Questions People Usually Ask

  • Absolutely. Most of my members came to me with little or no Pilates experience. The classes are designed for real bodies at all levels. I'll tell you exactly what you need to know.

  • There's a full on-demand library with a wide range of classes you can use any time: mat Pilates, foam roller, desk movement, stretch and strength. Something will always fit whatever time you have.

  • Yes, and this is often exactly where I'm most useful. I give personal cues and modifications in every live class. I'd just ask that you let me know when you join — there's a short intake form for this — so I can look out for you from day one. If you'd like a more in-depth conversation before starting, I also offer a short postural and movement assessment.   • Between 30 and 45 minutes depending on the session. Long enough to feel the difference, short enough to actually fit into a real day.

  • Very little. A mat is essential and a small pilates ball, a foam roller and light weights are used in some classes. I'll tell you exactly what's needed before each session
